It crackles and it cracks, occasionally. Nevertheless the record is experiencing a renaissance.

"The record is technically up to date with the seventies and nothing can be changed in this principle. But that is precisely what makes it what it is," says Holger Neumann, Managing Director of the Pallas Group in Diepholz. The name Pallas stands for the highest quality vinyl pressings "Made in Germany".

The record's reputation is associated with terms such as honesty and authenticity.

The record is a craft. Most of the vinyl pressing plants are more than 50 years old and very rare, just like the required skilled workers. While around 300,000 copies were sold in Germany in 2006, 3.4 million vinyl discs went over the counters in 2018. Due to its enormous value, the vinyl record is even considered a valuable investment today. The rare black discs are cult and are increasingly achieving top prices due to their small circulation.

RareBlackGold has always believed in the survival of the record and since the foundation of the company in 1989, it has continued to trade with the black gold. Our repertoire includes vinyl in many different styles - with a focus on 70s / 80s rock.

Vinyl lovers will find many strictly limited editions in our online shop, also in coloured or clear vinyl, picture LP's, LP boxes, 7" singles and 12" maxis.

Many of the offered titles contain MP3 Download Cards and/or album CD's besides the records. In addition, many titles also include posters, artifacts, text books or other gimmicks. We attach great importance to a comprehensive assortment of the legendary annual Record Store Day.
